Wow!! Finally all packed and ready to paint and clean up!!! WHEW!!!!!!!! Almost outta here!!!!!!!! YAY!!!
Thought I was going to be really cutting it short because I was supposed ot be out by midnight last night, but my landlord gave me until the end of the weekend to be out. And I have probably one more load with the Durango, and one with my car and I am DONE!!!!!!! But my computer and my TV are going dead last in my car!!!!!!!!
Well, I feel better. But I'm still tired and have a lot of packing to do, since I couldn't do much the past couple days! But I hope that I get relax a little bit tomorrow night! It's my Birthday tomorrow!
My mother and I just got into a big fight because I told her that I'm going to go talk to my landlord about staying in my apartment until the 15th instead of being out by the 10th. I'm sure he will have no problem with that at all! But SHE IS! She wants me to get moved out TODAY! But I CAN'T!!
She doesn't realize that I am facing having to condense all my belongings so that fits into just ONE small bedroom instead of 4 plus two closets!!! And I have a lot of stuff! And I was even starting to run out of room with my 730 sq ft one bedroom apartment that I am in RIGHT NOW!!! And I have to get most of my belongings to fit into a small 10x10 bedroom now! My bedroom in my apartment right now is about 12x12! I'm having to shrink down MY BEDROOM! I realize that they have space that they can store stuff for me as well, but I don't want to keep anything of mine there now, so why would I want to keep it there when I move back out!! If I wanted it there, then I would have stashed it there long ago!!
I don't want to rush through all this!! I'm not just going to throw all my stuff in boxes and then go through it all as I unpack. Yeah, that would be really easy!! I don't want to move it at all if I can help it, so it's better to get rid of it before you get everything packed to move!! Heck, I've found some stuff that I haven't even unpacked since I moved into this apartment over 5 years ago stashed away in the back of my bedroom closet!! You think I want to move that stuff AGAIN?!
I really need to get far away from them. I need to find a job that will pay me enough to get the hell out of Kentucky!! But will make me feel secure enough that I won't have to feel that I have to move back home again. I wish I could just keep going through all my stuff and continue condensing but STAY where I am until the end of the year when my lease is up!! And then I won't lose my deposit either!!
The ultimate birthday present for me right now is to get a phone call about a full time job offer!!! That would really make things calm down so much for me right now and I could just stay here and not have to deal with all the stress that my mother is putting me through right now!!!!
Of all the things I would have thought to find, I never thought I would find this. I found my wristband for when I went into the hospital to have my back surgery. The date on it is 11/27/1998. And I am NOT going to let that wristband go anywhere again!! That thing is so symbolic of all that I went through and I don't ever want to lose it again!! I've got to stash that thing somewhere!! And I STILL have the big insulated cup that I had when I was in my hospital room too!! LOL! I'm not going to lose either thing EVER!!! It may seem so trivial to some people, but those two things are reminders of times that were really bad and make me think that all the stuff that I'm going through now is nowhere near as bad as then!

OK!! I have absolutely no friggin excuse to not start learning Mandarin now!! I found the phrase book that is supposed to go with my flash cards and also the dictionary that went with my Mandarin conversational tapes!! And I also found my Mandarin cd roms!!! NO EXCUSE!!!!!!!!!
I just got back from seeing War of the Worlds. There is so much to say about it that I don't know where to begin!! All I know is that Steven Spielberg did NOT sugar coat a damned thing!!! And I couldn't help but think of how much of 9/11 fit into how he told the story. And the way he told it, it seemed as if he were actually telling an actual event, much like he did in Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan. The only thing I can say about it right off the bat, is that it is definitely horrific!! Very emotional!! I can't help but think that most of the way through the movie, I sat there with my jaw unhinged and in shock! But I have to say, that nobody else could ever tell that story the way he did. He really caught the horrific essence that the book had. The original movie was always my favorite, but this one has it beat to shreds (eh, maybe I ought to phrase that another way, and once you see it, you'll understand what I'm talking about.) And something else that really struck me, is that the way that the people survived in the movie. No miraculous intervention or anything, they just got through it, just like any other normal person with a strong will to live would.
If you like Steven Spielberg's way of telling stories, then you will appreciate this one! I'm going to have to go see it a couple more times before it leaves the theaters. This one really exceeded my expectations. It really blew me away!!
I just think it's so ironic that I watched two films about aliens by Steven Spielberg. And they both tell completely different stories. I watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind last night and then War of the Worlds today. But one movie where the aliens end up being friendly, and the other where they are human exterminators (and this is definitely not sugar coated in the movie and some of it is quite graphic!!)
